What Is VA Homemaker and Home Health Aide Care?

Part of the VA's Home and Community Based Services
The VA Homemaker and Home Health Aide (H/HHA) program provides in-home support for veterans who need help with everyday activities due to illness, injury, or age-related challenges. Rather than moving to a facility, veterans receive professional assistance right where they are most comfortable — at home.
This service is part of the VA's Home and Community Based Services and can be used as a standalone program or alongside other VA benefits like Respite Care, Skilled Home Health Services, or the V-PACT post-acute care transition program.
